What's the best short engraving for any memorial necklace?
A single name + a single year. "[Name] · [Year]" fits any pendant size, never goes out of emotional date, and reads as quiet design rather than grief markers.
Should I engrave in English or my mother tongue?
Mother tongue if it's a parent or grandparent you spoke to in that language. English defaults read more emotionally distant for those relationships. For pets and partners, use whichever language you talk to / about them in.
Can I add more characters than the limit?
Yes — we engrave back-side too. But anything past 60 total characters becomes hard to read on small pendants.
How long does engraving last?
Laser engraving on 316L stainless steel is permanent. The engraving outlasts the wearer; it doesn't fade with daily wear, showers, or years.
Can I change the engraving later?
No — it's a cut into the metal. If you need to update, you order a new pendant. About 8% of customers do this 6-18 months in, usually to soften the original phrase.
